The Kasbah, an authentic fortress built in 1572. Do not miss the inscription in Arabic and Dutch above the entrance door: “Fear God and honor your King”.
Nothing remains of the proud fortress, except the restored wall, but the panoramic view remains breathtaking over the bay and the port of Agadir. The hill bears the inscription in Arabic: “God – The Fatherland – The King” which, like the ramparts, is illuminated at night.
