Taliouine Excursion
Taliouine is a pretty little Berber town located 119 km from Taroudannt and 1500m above sea level. Taliouine is located in a region of impressive beauty, where we find one of the most beautiful geological folds in Morocco. it is the capital of Saffron in Morocco. A unique flavoring from purple flowers with white pistils, saffron is called “the roots of the earth”. When passing through Taliouine, be sure to visit the remains of the old kasbah of Glaoui, a historical monument dating from the end of the 18th century to the beginning of the 19th century. , also known as the Kasbah of Telouet. Along the main street, small inexpensive restaurants welcome you for grilled meats and traditional Moroccan dishes. Near Taliouine, you can make beautiful treks to Jbel Siroua, towards Afszimmer or Askaoun. Its small Berber villages offer beautiful examples of local architecture, and present very beautiful fortified granaries, and the mountain landscapes of Siroua are superb.
